The Castle of Geldrop Castle Estate

Geldrop castle has a beautiful park surrounded by an English landscape garden and a walled vegetable garden with orchard. The estate is located in the center of Geldrop, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the valley of the meandering Kleine Dommel.


The first residents we encounter in the archives are Philip and Jan van Geldrop, who built the castle around 1350. For the next two centuries, the castle was owned by the Van Horne family, but it was hardly inhabited. Around 1600, Amandus van Horne settled in a residential tower right next to the castle. In 1616 he had the medieval ruins renovated. This building with the characteristic stepped gables now forms the middle part of the current castle; On the canal side the year can still be found in the wall anchors.


Around 1870, the castle was extensively renovated by sugar baron Hubertus Paulus Hoevenaar to approximately its current situation. After the last resident died, the estate was purchased by the municipality in 1974. Since 1996, the estate has been owned and managed by the Geldrop Castle Estate Foundation.


In this former home of the baron and baroness, you and your guests can completely forget about time. In the castle you will find 7 attractive rooms, each with their own style and design. The beautiful rooms always give your meeting a special appearance.

The blue room has traditionally been the dining room of the Castle. A nice space to combine with the Wedding Room or the Panorama Room, or to dine separately with a small group. There is a beautiful black grand piano in this room which can be optionally rented, tuned and all.

A noble gentleman's room

The Baron's room with its dark red walls is a real gentleman's room par excellence. Perfect to dress up for your wedding, or fun to organize a "murder" dinner with an intimate group. Can possibly be combined with the Keucken through the safe door.

The sales team of Landgoed Kasteel Geldrop consisting of: Linde (left), Yvonne (middle) and Véronique (right). We plan the appointments to prepare your wedding down to the last detail. We look at what your wishes are and what a good layout is for this special day! On average, we start this planning a year to a year and a half in advance. We have an advisory and guiding role in this. When your wedding is finally taking shape, we will consult with the operational team and further planning and orders will be made accordingly. We also maintain contact with the municipality, external suppliers, but also with your master of ceremonies, for example. We can also be deployed as a master of ceremonies to ensure that you and your guests can fully enjoy this special day!


We schedule appointments from Tuesday to Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. On average, a first appointment lasts 45-60 minutes. We give a tour of the estate and discuss all options and wishes.
